Baby's almost two!

In about a month, my son will turn 2! And of course my mind is starting to brainstorm to what the theme will be and what cute things to include to make his second bday memorable.

For his first birthday, I did as much as I can with supplies I found in Luanda, and some things were even shipped to me from Lebanon.

As a special touch for your kid's bday, something that is totally DIY are personalized water bottles!
All you need are small bottles of water, some paper and a colored printer  and Voila!
These are fun to do and can be made several weeks ahead. Just download the free printables you find online - remember Google is always a friend- and you can use them as is, or if you have some design skills, modify them to make them even more personalized- I had some help in the design section ;)
There are all sorts of free printables you can use on the web, one of them are the little flags. I used them as cupcake toppers. Just glue them into toothpicks and stick them to your cupcake, instant cute personalized cupcake!
Another fun thing we tried out and came out pretty cool are jello slices. Simply cut up few oranges in half , empty them with a spoon and fill them with jello mix and put them in the fridge to set. When they are ready, just slice them up like you would do a regular orange. Colorful display and the kids loved them!!

And how about some nutella spoons??Who hasn't gone into the fridge late at night with spoon and raided the jar of nutella?? well this could be a regular at any party you have, both kids and adults would love them. Need instructions? don't think so! Anyone can put some nutella on a spoon :)

I also made a little smash cake for the birthday boy! Any cake would do, I used the mold of a giant cupcake and decorated it with some left over cut outs of fondant! He absolutely loved it! Amazing memories, can't wait to make new memories for this year's bday! Stay tuned :)
