Cooking with Karim, Chocolate Chip Cookies

Last week Karim made these scrumptuous chocolate chip cookies, recipe from Averycooks.com .
Believe me when i tell you that this is the yummiest out there because karim's grandma aka my mama tried them all! and this one is surely the winner!!

 Karim took them to his best friend Nada's birthday party and there weren't any crumbs left!

 These are the ingredients for the cookie and make sure to watch Karim's video below for the step by step tutorial

 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed (I use light)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt, optional and to taste
6 ounces (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips
6 ounces bittersweet or dark baking chocolate, chopped into bite-sized chunks 

 PS: Chill the cookie dough before baking it!

Luanda Magic Parc of Miramar

  I think it's Luanda's only outdoor play area for kids of all ages and it is definitely worth a weekly visit from you no matter where you live in Luanda. The parc located in the Miramar area has an entrance fee of only 5 dollars and is suitable for kids of all ages.     It is equipped with outdoor play area for young children- the plastic houses, slides,.. - and for older kids you can find several jumping castles and an arena for renting electric cars.   Other options for rent for 5 $ for half an hour are small bicycles and cars. If you are in Luanda and have kids please do visit this park and I am sure you will be visiting it again and again. All the toys and the park all in all are very well maintained. A large seating area for parents with a café that serves refreshments and sandwiches is also available inside the park. A story of inspiration from Angola

Meet the woman who makes Angola’s abandoned kids look forward to a better future. The first time I met her she amazed me with her drive , passion and level of involvement with these kids, a level of involvement that goes beyond volunteering some of your personal time, and becomes part of your daily life. I did not understand how she had all this strength in her to deal with daily troubles and heartbreaking issues of street children in Angola.
